Meet your therapist
Hi, I’m Suvi Chisholm. I’m a therapist supporting adults through life transitions, emotional overwhelm, burnout, and the quiet sense that something needs to shift.
I offer individual therapy through secure telehealth, creating a gentle, grounded space where you can slow down, speak honestly, and explore what’s coming up in your life. Therapy with me is collaborative and human, not clinical or rushed.
Many of the people I work with appear capable on the outside, but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. They are often navigating transitions across the lifespan, such as becoming an adult, shifting identities or careers, motherhood, aging, relationships, or questions around meaning and spirituality.
You don’t need a clear goal or the right words to begin. Curiosity and a willingness to show up are enough. We move at a pace that feels right for you, starting where you are and paying attention to what matters most.
My Training & Experience
I am a Registered Associate (LPC-A) practicing in Oregon, with graduate degrees in Criminology and Criminal Justice (M.S.) and School Counseling (M.Ed.), and certification in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy. My work is trauma-informed, evidence-based, and centered on emotional safety, compassion, and curiosity.
I regularly engage in supervision and continued professional development to ensure my work remains ethical, supportive, and effective. I strive to offer a non-judgmental space where clients feel deeply validated, understood, and supported in exploring life’s complexities.
You’re welcome to schedule your first therapy session or book a complimentary 15-minute consultation to see if this feels like the right next step.
Why I Became a Therapist
I believe people need a nonjudgmental place where they can be fully themselves. A space to speak openly with someone who isn’t connected to their family, work, or social world. Someone whose sole role is to listen, understand, and support them. I believe healing begins when people are able to tell their stories and make sense of their experiences, often discovering that the answers they’re seeking have been within them all along.
Life presents challenges that require constant adaptation and reflection. I want to be a part of that journey, supporting people as they reconnect with themselves, make sense of their experiences, and move toward lives that feel more meaningful and self-directed.
How I Work
My approach to therapy is warm and collaborative, with an emphasis on curiosity and meaning-making.
Our work together may include:
Gently exploring thoughts, emotions, and past experiences
Identifying patterns and coping strategies that may no longer be serving you
Using psychoeducation and research-informed approaches to better understand emotional responses and stress
Practicing cognitive and behavioral strategies between sessions, when helpful, to support insight and change
Learning grounding tools to support regulation and resilience
Providing therapeutic support for preparation, integration, and reflection around psychedelic experiences
Making sense of emotional experiences with compassion
Some sessions may feel reflective and quiet. Others may feel clarifying or emotionally releasing. There’s no right way for therapy to look.
What I Value in the Therapy Space
I care deeply about creating a therapy space that feels safe, non-judgmental, and steady, especially when conversations feel vulnerable. I aim to offer an environment that is honest without being overwhelming, and that respects your boundaries, autonomy, and lived experience.
You are always in control of what we talk about and the pace we move at. My role is to support rather than direct, staying alongside you with care and curiosity.
Therapy is most effective when you feel emotionally safe. This means moving at your pace, checking in regularly, and staying curious rather than critical - while trusting your inner capacity for insight, healing, and growth.
Who I Work With
I work with adults who may be experiencing:
Anxiety, overthinking, or emotional overwhelm
Burnout, chronic stress, or career challenges and transitions
Life transitions or identity shifts, including the transition to motherhood and postpartum experiences
Grief, palliative care concerns, or changes related to illness, aging, or end-of-life meaning
Religious trauma or shifts in belief, spirituality, or worldview
Exploration or integration of non-ordinary states of consciousness
Relationship or attachment challenges
Experiences related to or impacted by the criminal justice system
College-related stress, identity exploration, academic pressure, or the transition into adulthood
A sense of feeling lost, stuck, or disconnected
You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Therapy can be a space to slow down, reflect, and gently make sense of what you’re carrying, at your own pace.
